1. Introduction
Welcome to Kustomcurtains.ae, operated by Kustom Deco Furniture Trading LLC, a UAE-based provider of custom-made curtains and blinds. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Products & Services
We provide made-to-measure curtains and blinds tailored to your specifications. All items are custom-produced and installed through our network of trusted partners.
3. Bookings
A booking is made when a customer provides their details and selects a slot via our website.
A booking is considered confirmed only by confirming via WhatsApp after receiving a notification from our team.
If the booking is not verified, Kustom Curtains reserves the right to hold or cancel the booking until verification is successfully completed.
Bookings do not constitute an order. An order will only be placed once payment is made according to the options detailed in Section 5.
4. Order Confirmation & Modifications
Orders are confirmed when one of the following is received:
Full upfront payment
50% advance payment
First installment of a three-month payment plan
Customers have a 24-hour window after payment to cancel or request changes to their order. Any changes made within the 24-hour period may incur additional charges, depending on the nature of the change.
After 24 hours, the order is considered locked, enters production and can’t be cancelled / refunded anymore.
5. Pre-Installation Requirements
Prior to installation, the customer must confirm the following:
Authorization and approval for drilling during the scheduled timeslot from building management for installation (Work Permit if required).
Electricity is connected at the installation site. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the location is ready for installation, with no construction, renovation, or obstacles that could interfere with the installation.
The proposed installation date has been confirmed with Kustom Curtains.
The installation will be performed strictly according to the specifications provided in the quotation, including product selection, fabric type, and any agreed-upon installation instructions. Once the installation is completed as per the quotation, the installation will be considered finalized.
We will not be responsible for any complaints, issues, or delays arising from any changes, deviations, or additions outside of the scope of the original quotation. Any modifications requested by the customer after the quotation has been agreed upon may incur additional charges, delays, and will not be covered under the supplier’s responsibility.
Failure to meet any of these conditions may result in rescheduling and additional charges.
6. Payment Terms
We offer three payment options:
Full upfront payment
50% advance payment, 50% due at installation
Monthly payment plan (3 installments) — managed in-house with a service fee
Orders are only confirmed once one of these payment options is completed.
7. Payment Methods
Payments for orders are accepted :
Credit Card: Credit card payments are accepted from Visa and Mastercard, with payment made online on our website, or a secured Stripe link provided by our team
Bank Transfer: Payments are accepted by bank transfers only for Upfront payments. We may use bank transfers for balance payments in case of issues with credit card payments.
Cash: Payments made by cash are accepted only for Upfront payments. Customers may choose to handover cash to the salesperson during the measurement visit, or can handover to the team at Kustom Curtains office location.
8. Delivery & Installation
We aim to install within 5 working days from the date of payment and order confirmation, subject to availability and supplier readiness.
Timeline may vary depending on production, scheduling, or unforeseen circumstances.
Delivery and installation of the products will be as per customer requirements specified in the order
In case of any issues occurring during the installation, we will notify customers of the next steps and updated timeline.
In the event of any issues with the product or service, the customer may be eligible for compensation. Compensation may include a discount, product exchange, or another mutually agreed solution. This process will be handled promptly and fairly to address any inconvenience caused by delays or issues. To initiate the issue resolution process, the customer must notify the supplier in writing within 7 days of installation. Any requests received after this time frame may not be considered for compensation.
9. Outstanding Balances & Legal Enforcement
The remaining 50% of the payment is due on the day after a successful installation (unless the monthly plan is selected).
If payment is not received, we reserve the right to refer the debt to a collection agency and initiate legal proceedings. Associated fees will be borne by the customer.
In case of any installation issues reported on the day of the installation, the collection of the balance payment will be delayed to the day after the installation was deemed successful.
Penalty for Failed Payments: In the event of a failed payment, the following penalties will apply:
Day 3 (After Payment Due Date): A penalty fee of AED 300 will be charged for any unsettled invoices. For example, if the payment due date is 1st April and the payment is not received by 3rd April, a penalty fee of AED 300 will be added to the outstanding balance.
Subsequent Days: An additional AED 30 will be charged for each extra day the invoice remains unpaid, beginning on Day 4 after the due date. For example, if the payment is still outstanding on 4th April, an additional AED 30 will be charged, making the total penalty AED 330. On 5th April, the total penalty will be AED 360, and so on for each additional day of non-payment.
Failure to Settle Outstanding Balance: Failure to settle the outstanding balance within 14 days from the original due date will result in pursuing legal action to recover the outstanding amount, including any associated legal costs, at the our discretion, including but not limited to initiating legal proceedings, and the customer agrees to bear all costs associated with such action, including legal fees, collection fees, and any other expenses incurred.
10. Warranty & Quality
All fabrics and rails are covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.
All motors and motorized accessories are covered by a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, improper cleaning, installation conditions outside our control, or normal wear and tear.
No warranty is offered on accessories or installation hardware unless explicitly stated.
Warranty or repairs are only included for the scope of work detailed on the quotation. Any changes to the scope of work will be treated as a new requirement, requiring a new quotation and order.
11. Cancellations & Refunds
Orders can only be cancelled or modified within 24 hours of payment. Any changes requested after this time frame will not be accepted, and we will not be responsible for accommodating any modifications to the original order. Any changes made within the 24-hour period may incur additional charges, depending on the nature of the change.
After that period, production begins and refunds are not available unless the product is defective or incorrectly manufactured.
Once the installation is complete, no refunds will be issued, as long as the product and service meet the agreed specifications outlined in the quotation. This policy is in effect once the installation process is finished and confirmed by both parties.
12. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect or incidental losses.
Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the product in question.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
